Play us a tune.
It’s not too long before we get an official release date and more footage for the upcoming Legend of Zelda title, Breath of the Wild. Until then, Nintendo has revealed one piece of information that fans will be delighted to hear: the lead composer for the soundtrack.
Breath of the Wild’s score will be handled by Manaka Kataoka, who’s worked at Nintendo for the last decade. This won’t be her first Legend of Zelda title she’ll have done music for (she contributed to the soundtrack for Spirit Tracks), but she’s best known for being the lead composer of the Animal Crossing games, specifically New Leaf and City Folk. As with other Nintendo titles, it’s a safe bet that a soundtrack will eventually make its way to iTunes months after the game releases.
Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will come to the Nintendo Switch and Wii U later this year.
