A new trailer released for the game by EA and Coldwood today details the significant role that music plays in the game. Creative Director Martin Sahlin comments over the video on its role,

“Music is one of our most important storytelling tools. Unravel’s story is told entirely without words, so the music sort of becomes the voice of the game.”

Sahlin talks about the music being there to set a mood, to inspire players to think and feel. He says the music in Unravel had to be capable of both breaking your heart and putting it back together again. The team went with two local musicians to help match the feel of Unravel.

Make sure to watch the trailer down below. Unravel is set to release on Feb. 9 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Are you planning on picking up Unravel the day it comes out? What effect do you think music can have on a video game? Tell us what you think down below.
