If you’ve been eyeing Gears of War 4’s Seriously 4.0 achievement, you may have noticed you have to complete all Re-Ups. If you’re new to the series or just didn’t spend much time with Gears 3’s multiplayer, this may be new to you. Here’s how to Re-Up and what it does.

A Re-Up is essentially Gears of War 4’s version of Call of Duty’s prestige. However, rather than just resetting your level and giving you a shiny new badge like prestiging does, these are actually far more worth your time. Once you reach level 100 in multiplayer, you’ll be given the option to Re-Up. Every time you Re-Up, you’ll be awarded with some Gear Packs and a unique emblem to display behind your name in lobbies to showcase your skills to the masses.

You’ll also get a unique icon which will show behind your level number or playlist rank. The more you do this, the fancier this icon will become. Therefore, if you’re wanting to be one of the very best players, you’ll want to make your way through all 10.

That’s everything you need to know about Re-Ups in Gears of War 4. For more tips, tricks, and guides be sure to check out our wiki.
