Tar – Conan Exiles

While it’s not the kind of thing you’ll find asking in everyday life, wanting to know how to get Tar in Conan Exiles is a perfectly reasonable question. It’s a pretty important resource, not because it’s particularly difficult to get hold of, but because it’s part of the crafting process for Steel.

Getting your hands on the black stuff in Conan Exiles is actually pretty easy, as it’s a bi-product of another process. All you need to do is tan Hide or Thick Hide in the Tannery once you’ve built one. As Tar is a bi-product, you won’t have to do anything in particular. It’s simply added into your inventory in Conan Exiles.

Tar is used to make Steelfire – one of the key ingredients in making Steel in Conan Exiles. If you ever find yourself running low on Tar, it shouldn’t be too difficult to find some Hide or Thick Hide so you can get tanning and adding it to your inventory.

For those who like to keep supplies high, you’ll be pleased to know that the black substance has a max stack of 100, and a weight of only 0.05.
