Loot Lake
The Worst Fortnite Locations to Avoid
Loot Lake is an oxymoron because it’s certainly not a lake filled to the brim with loot. There are treasure chests sitting in various rowboats on the open water, but most players do not even bother because walking through the water slows you down so much that it’s far too dangerous to risk. Building out to them isn’t really viable, either, since it’s impossible unless connected to the mainline, and also requires a huge amount of resources.
Dropping into the lone house in the middle of the lake is more tedious than trying to survive anywhere outside this location. Once looted, everything on the island must be chopped down so you have enough materials to cross the lake safely and have enough for future battles.
The watchtower and house on the northern side of the lake is a little better for maneuverability, but you’ll need to move quickly to avoid players with full inventories coming from the Anarchy Acres area. The factories to the west have much better opportunities for loot but are sandwiched between two common drop locations: Pleasant Park and Tilted Towers.
