You’re able to grow your own herbs in This War of Mine: The Little Ones using the craftable Herbal Garden. It requires 30 components, 30 wood, and two parts and can only be built from the Improved Workshop first, so be sure to get that.

An Herbal Garden grows herbs. These are extremely useful as they can craft Medications, Herbal Meds, and Cigarettes. Additionally, they break down raw food and vegetables into Fertilizer, which can be used as bait in a trap or for the Vegetable Garden.

This can only be built from an Herbal Garden that has been upgraded. To build it, you must have 30 components, 15 wood, three parts, four electrical parts, and a Heat Lamp. In order to get a Heat Lamp beforehand, you’ll need an Advanced Workshop, by the way. This will all allow you to grow vegetables now, too.

In order to grow vegetables, you’ll need a tomato, 10 waters, and an hour of time. It’s very useful to have this ability because they’re great combined with raw food for a hearty stew.
