How to Jetpack in Star Wars Battlefront 2

Recommended Videos

One of the most useful abilities in the first Star Wars Battlefront was the jetpack, which let you quickly boost up to a location or get out of a tight spot. With Star Wars Battlefront 2, however, things have been drastically altered with the game’s new class system. Unfortunately this means that you won’t have access to a jetpack all the time. The good news though, is that there’s still a way to get a jetpack in the game, it’s just quite a bit different.

The only way to get a jetpack in Star Wars Battlefront 2 is by playing as the advanced Jetpack Trooper class in a multiplayer match. To do this you’ll need Battle Points, which are gained for pretty much every action you take in a match. You get points for kills, playing the objective, and much more. To play as the jetpack class you’ll need 2,000 points which is pretty low considering you can get about 100-200 just for every kill you get. Once you have the necessary points wait until you die, then hit X (or A) to bring up the character select menu. Navigate over to the jetpack and you’ll spawn as the special class.

Now that you’re playing as the class, your jetpack ability will be mapped to R1 and L1. Hitting R1 will send you shooting up in a high arc, while R1 will send you dashing close to the ground based on whichever direction you’re holding at the moment.
