Is Star Wars Battlefront 2 Coming to Nintendo Switch?
Star Wars Battlefront 2 is due to hit the PS4, Xbox One, and PC later this week. The game will not only bringing epic-scale multiplayer matches in the Star Wars universe, but also a single-player campaign following the story of Inferno Squad as they seek to avenge the Emperor. As such, many Star Wars fans will be eager to get their hands on the title, but some Nintendo Switch owners may be wondering if there’s any possibility that EA will bring Battlefront 2 to the system.
Well, there’s some good and bad news on that front. While, of course, we won’t see a Nintendo Switch version on Nov. 17 alongside the other platform versions, EA hasn’t ruled out the possibility of bringing Star Wars Battlefront 2 to the Nintendo Switch. In an interview with GameSpot, Motive Studios lead gameplay developer David Robillard said that the publisher would consider bringing Star Wars Battlefront 2 to the Switch “if we see opportunities.”
Robillard was quick to note, however, that this “is not something that’s on the books right now.” The statement is largely non-committal, but it does provide a glimmer of hope to Nintendo Switch owners that, one day, they just might be playing Star Wars Battlefront 2 on the go. As soon as we hear any more on a Switch version of the title, we’ll be sure to update this post and let you know.
