Resident Evil Village PS5 Demo Available for Download Now

Earlier today, Capcom hosted a huge livestream for the upcoming Resident Evil Village, which came with a ton of news about the future of the series as well as a release date for this next mainline entry. In addition to that, they also confirmed that players would be able to check out a short playable demo of the game.

At the time of writing, the demo is now available for download on PS5. It’s not available on other platforms, which means that only PS5 users will be able to check it out, though it’s worth noting that the game will be released on both last-gen and current-gen consoles if you haven’t made the jump to PS5 or Xbox Series X|S just yet.

Called The Maiden, the demo will allow you a very brief glimpse into the world of Resident Evil Village, and should give you an idea of what the setting and atmosphere will be like. Village will bring back series favorite Chris Redfield, as well as Ethan Winters, the protagonist of RE7.

Resident Evil Village is set to be released for PC and consoles on May 7.
