Getting the Silenced Pistol in Prey

Recommended Videos

The Silenced Pistol is one of the more basic firearms that you’ll use for the majority of your time playing Prey. It doesn’t do a lot of damage to the more powerful aliens like the Thermal Phantom, but it can come in handy when you’re facing off against minor enemies like the Mimics. The weapon is silent, meaning that it can be useful for players who like being stealthy as well.

You can get the Silenced Pistol in the Teleconferencing Center, which is located in the Talos I lobby. The weapon can be found next to Elias Black’s body. However, if you miss it, you’ll have other opportunities to pick it up again. You’ll usually be able to find the weapon in security booths, or on the corpses of security officers.

While it might be tempting to use your Upgrade Kits on the Silenced Pistol, especially since it’s one of the game’s earlier weapons, you should save them for more powerful guns that you can find later on. However, it can be a good idea to increase its magazine capacity, just so you have a weapon on you that’s capable of quickly firing multiple shots in a row.
