Who Doomfist’s Voice Actor Is in Overwatch

After months of speculation and almost a year of teasing, Overwatch’s Doomfist is now available for players to test out in the PTR. He’s an offensive character who delivers devastating blows at close range. In the past several months, actor Terry Crews released a video online auditioning to be the hero’s voice actor. Now that we’ve actually heard the character speak, we know that Crews’ audition didn’t snag him the part. However, many people are probably still wondering who Doomfist’s voice actor is.

Well, it turns out that the role of Doomfist’s voice actor went to Sahr Ngaujah. You might recognize his voice from projects such as Last Resort, The Signal, and Stomp the Yard as well as several episodes of Law and Order SVU. For those unaware of exactly who this new hero is, let us fill you in on all the details.

Doomfist is African – his real name is Akande Ogundimu –  with ties to the Numbani map. His cybernetic enhancements help him tear through the battlefield. Additionally, he is not actually a hero but a member of Talon, the evil organization that is home to the likes of Reaper and Widowmaker. He is the fourth additional character added the game, despite being mentioned in the very first cinematic trailer for the game way back in 2014.

And now you know who the new Overwatch hero’s voice actor is. For more on Overwatch and Doomfist as he leaves the PTR and joins the battle in the next couple of weeks, stay tuned to Twinfinite.
