No Man’s Sky: How to Restart the Game

Restarting the Game- No Man’s Sky

Recommended Videos

No Man’s Sky has finally released on PS4 and players are already busy exploring the vast stretches of its universe. While there’s plenty of content to keep you busy in the game for an eternity, you may find that you’d want to erase any progress you’ve made on your venture to the center of the universe and start anew. If this sounds like you, here’s how to restart your game.

The game doesn’t have an option to restart from the beginning when you load it up, so instead you’ll have to jump into the settings of your PS4. From here, go to Application Saved Data Management, and search for the No Man’s Sky application. Here, select the No Man’s Sky data and select delete save data. This will erase any progress you had made on your intergalactic voyage and allow you to start all over again.

This is a pretty handy way of being able to reap the benefits of Update 1.0.3 if you’d managed to get your hands on an early copy of the game. Though we’re sure many people will simply want to restart to enjoy that feeling of setting out into the great unknown for the very first time all over again.
