Aiming – No Man’s Sky

No Man’s Sky has been released in the wild, and players are slowly diving into the game to find what secrets it holds. One thing you might find yourself involved in are space dogfights, pitting you against multiple enemy ships.

You’ll want to have your arsenal ready in these battles as enemies will hit you hard. Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to lock onto enemy ships and track them, so your free aiming will need to do the trick. Use the reticle in the middle of your screen as a guide and use the left stick to tilt your ship up, down, left and right. Using the right and left triggers will also be helpful during battles, for you to angle your ship and do barrel rolls.

Flying your ship right up behind an enemy’s and dog tailing them will also give you the advantage, and make it easier to aim your weapons while they’re vulnerable. Hopefully in a later update we’ll gain the ability to lock onto enemy ships, or have some kind of heat seeking weapon.

Now that you’re ready to take the fight to the enemy in space, check out our No Man’s Sky wiki for all of your other spacefaring adventure needs.
