After a two-year wait, NieR: Automata is finally available to us all. Directed by Yoko Taro, Automata serves as a follow-up to the action RPG NieR, which was originally released for the PS3 and Xbox 360. However, Taro has reassured players that there’s no need to play the first game to enjoy Automata.
In this sequel, we learn that the humans have fled Earth and are taking refuge on the moon. Hostile machines have taken over our planet, and the humans have created androids to fight in their stead and to help take back their homeland. Players will take control of YoRHa Unit 2B, an android tasked with making Earth safe again.
