Equipping Modules – Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone

Recommended Videos

So now that you’ve learned how to purchase new modules and other cosmetic items for your vocaloids, you’ll need to know how to actually equip them. Simply choosing the Wear option after purchasing them won’t change your vocaloids’ appearances when you start a song, and the game isn’t very good at explaining this mechanic.

Before you head back into the Rhythm Game section, look at your vocaloids in the Customization menu. Click the R3 button to cycle through different costume sets: Song Specific, Shared Set A, Shared Set B, and Shared Set C. Song Specific will change your vocaloid’s appearance based on the default theme set by the song that you choose to play. You’ll want to tab over to the various Shared Sets and choose your newly purchased modules from there. For example, if you bought the Gallia outfit for Miku, you’ll have to select Shared Set A, and then equip the outfit for her.

Once you’ve done this, go ahead and choose the song you want to play. Before selecting it, click R3 again to cycle through the different sets. By picking Shared Set A for whichever song you’ve chosen, Miku (or whichever vocaloid is performing that song) will now be wearing the Gallia outfit.
