Is GT Sport Coming to Xbox One?

Recommended Videos

The long-awaited current generation debut of Polyphony Digital’s Gran Turismo series is nearly upon us, with GT Sport releasing on Oct. 17. As has been the case with every game in the series, GT Sport will push the boundaries of how beautiful cars and racing can be. However, some are wondering which platforms you will be able to experience that beauty on. Will both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 owners be able to take to the tracks?

The bad news for any Xbox One owners is that GT Sport is a PlayStation 4 exclusive, just as the other Gran Turismo games have been. I wouldn’t hold your breath for that to change any time soon, either, with Polyphony Digital being one of Sony’s core first-party studios.

However, the second half of 2017 has been full of quality racing titles. Project Cars 2 released on both main home consoles last month and Microsoft’s own exclusive racer, Forza Motorsport 7, released to a positive reception a couple of weeks ago. Both are more than decent alternatives to GT Sport if you are an Xbox One owner and aren’t able to get your hands on it.

Be sure to check back with us for more coverage once Gran Turismo Sport releases.
