10 Games That Smashed 1 Million Sales in 2018

Square Enix’s latest game, Octopath Traveler, is a love letter to the JRPG franchise, trading all the flashy graphics and quick time events for 2.5HD sprites and turn-based combat. Here, players will follow the story of eight people, each with their own reasons for embarking on a grand quest that ties them all together. As a traditional JRPG, players will have to manage job classes, skills, and travel to different towns, cities, and kingdoms as they unravel each traveler’s specific story.

While Octopath Traveler only launched last month, the game has already smashed the 1 million milestone. Square Enix hadn’t been expecting the game’s sudden popularity, having apologized about the constant stock shortage. To celebrate the 1 million mark, they’ve recently released some new artwork that seems to be pointing to a possible new entry or port in the Bravely series.
