Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, just like the original game, has a bit of a unique leveling system. Of course characters get experience and gain levels, which will increase their stats, but the big boosts come with the License Board system. In The Zodiac Age you choose two specific jobs for each character which decides the License Boards they get. The board contains things like increases to HP, new abilities, and access to magic. However, in order to unlock anything on a board you’ll first need to get License Points, or LP.

There’s only one way to gain License Points in Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, and that’s by beating enemies. Every enemy you defeat in The Zodiac Age will reward you with LP, usually just one, though sometimes you may earn more. Because of this if you really want to unlock everything on a board you’re going to need to do some battling. Luckily, the new fast forward feature mapped to L1 makes grinding a heck of a lot easier in The Zodiac Age. Go somewhere with plentiful enemies once you’ve progressed in the game, like the Ozmone Plains, then just turn fast forward on and grind for a while. You’re sure to wrack up the License Points if you’re willing to just put a bit of time in
