Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth has more than its fair share of Digimon battles, so you’ll need to be on top of your game if you want to come out on top. Leveling up and earning new skills is only part of the strategy; you’ll also need to Digivolve your team to get those highly sought after beasts that can decimate all teams.
Unlike a game like Pokemon, though, your Digimon won’t just Digivolve on their own. When they hit their level cap, they just stay that way until you do something about it. The process requires a hands-on approach, something you may not realize right away. When a Digimon reaches max level (or a specific level you’ve been waiting for) you need to head to the DigiLab.
Interact with the DigiBank and choose the Digivolve/De-digivolve option. You’ll now be able to access all of your Digimon and choose what you want them to become. On each option you’ll notice a list of requirements. Items marked with a red circle mean you’ve met them, a blue “X” however means that you need to work on that stat or level requirement.
Digivolving reverts that Digimon’s level back to 1. However, it will keep its Inherited Skills and learn new special skills, it will also get an increase to both its base attack and HP. You will now be able to level the Digimon up again in order to hit the next transformation or just to make this one more powerful and keep it.
