How to Change Gender in Destiny 2
As expected, character customization makes a return in Destiny 2. If you’re expecting a wide variety of new options when creating your Guardian, however, don’t get too excited. In terms of character customization, Destiny 2 still feels like it’s just letting you choose between different varieties of vanilla ice cream. The good news is that the gear in Destiny is so glorious and stunning that you’ll quickly forget that there is a person hiding underneath it all. Destiny 2’s character customization offers the same customizable options as Destiny did, allowing you to select between different hair colors and styles, skin tones, race, gender and more.
More than likely, you won’t spend much time picking out features here. It’s pretty easy to throw together a combination of features that look cool enough for you to be ready to move on and get into the game. But what happens if you suddenly decide to change your mind about your character’s gender? Unfortunately, there won’t be much you can do about that unless you want to make a brand new character entirely. Once you have selected your Guardian’s gender and left the character customization screen, your choices are locked in and there’s no turning back. You won’t be able to alter their appearance, or their gender, at any other point in the game.
For players returning from the original Destiny game this likely won’t come as a surprise. Destiny didn’t allow players to change features after creating their character and Destiny 2 followed suit. What this means is that while there aren’t many options to choose from in the character customization section, you will still want to make sure that you’re happy with the character you have created before diving into the game.
