Snap Freeze – Dark Souls III: Ashes of Ariandel

Recommended Videos

Snap Freeze is one of the few new spells that have been added to Dark Souls III’s newest DLC Ashes of Ariandel. This is a surprisingly easy spell to gain if you don’t mind running by some annoying enemies who would just waste your time and precious Estus Flasks.

Start by spawning at the Depths of the Painting bonfire and head left. You will see a giant crab, but be warned that two more are waiting under the ice for you, as well. Either kill them or run by towards the snowy hill that has the tree monsters around it. Kill them all quickly and then head over the hill and down the slope.

You should see an item just hanging out between two frost trees, so make sure to kill them first. Wouldn’t want to die now! Firebombs work wonders for stunning them and will allow you to get an opening so that you can properly attack. After they are all dead, go over and claim your new sorcery. Snap Freeze is a decently powerful sorcery, though only time will tell if it is really useful in PvP or PvE.
