Battlefield V

Alongside Call of Duty, Battlefield is the other FPS series that sees an annual release.

This year, Battlefield V took us to World War II, where we got yet another episodic-style campaign mode that features stories from different squads and regions in the war. While not quite as riveting as the ones we got in Battlefield 1, it’s still worth a one-time playthrough.

In addition to that, all of the regular multiplayer modes are back as well, along with Grand Operations, which we were definitely happy to see make a return.

It builds upon last year’s Operations mode, where players compete against one another from either side of the war, completing objectives to reenact a campaign from WWII itself.

Battlefield V is also set to get a battle royale mode, but unfortunately, it’s not available just yet. The shooting mechanics in Battlefield V are as weighty and punchy as ever, making it a fine FPS game to pick up if Black Ops 4’s setting doesn’t interest you.
