The conclusion to the thrilling reboot trilogy, Shadow of the Tomb Raider looks to take players to the darker side of Lara Croft’s adventures for fame, glory, and relics of the forgotten past. Following the events of the second game, Lara sets off to Latin America in search of a treasure with ties to her late father. Unfortunately, when she draws closer to this treasure, she inadvertently triggers a Mayan apocalypse and is forced to find a way to stop it and prevent the shadowy organization Trinity from harnessing it to their advantage. Gritty, grim and visceral, the footage was shown of the game so far has depicted a title that will push its protagonist to the edge, either hardening her into brilliance or crushing her into dust under the weight of its challenges. Either way, it’ll be a wild ride the whole way through.
