The Adventure Pals is a perfect game for the family. It is a platformer that’s inspired by cartoons and other classic games in the genre. It sees you and your best friends (a giraffe and a rock) embark on an adventure to save the world and stop your dad from turning into hotdogs. It features light RPG mechanics and some tricky yet fun challenges, but it’s the game’s personality that makes it the perfect game for kids. It’s colorful, often hilarious, and a great intro to more mature platforming. Simply jumping around, finding all the collectibles, and taking on the unique bosses can make for hours of fun. If only there were more substantial co-op options.
