How to Become a Vet in The Sims 4: Cats & Dogs

The Sims 4: Cats & Dogs is all about pets, as you would expect. As such, the long-awaited expansion adds a career that has to do with them: Veterinarian! Well, technically. That’s right, your sim can be a Vet and help the townies’ pets for their life’s work.

I said that it was technically a career because being a vet in the game works more like running a business. You have to click on the Cash Register icon on the bottom right of the screen, and it will now give you an option in the dropdown to buy a Vet Clinic. Choose any lot that you can afford and get to furnishing it how you want! That’s it! Now, you can open and close the clinic whenever, manage the employees, prices, and day to day stuff, too.

If you want to go hands-on with the work, simply head to the lot while the clinic is open and you’ll be in your vet mode. To start helping patients, greet them (denoted with a star above their head) and accept to help their pet. The cat or dog will follow you to an open examining table, and you’ll be tasked with finding out what’s wrong with them. Hit “Exam” and examine different parts of them until you have a “EUREKA” moment and know which cure to give them. If you don’t know what cure, odds are they need to be moved to an open surgery station.

That’s all there is to becoming a vet in The Sims 4: Cats & Dogs! If you need any more help, let us know in the comments below.
