FNaF World
FNaF World takes place in a country called Animatronica. This isn’t a real place (you probably already knew that). The game first alludes to it being some sort of digital realm full of glitches and security systems. It’s nothing more than a game, right? But, when listening to the Fredbear in the secret story you find out that it’s much deeper than that.
You are in the mind of the bite victim from FNaF 4. He is still in the coma that he fell into after his injury, but he has fallen deeper into it. That is why you are here to leave a trail to lead him back to life. This makes sense for several reasons.
For starters you’re playing with all of the animatronics from Freddy Fazbears and using Faz Tokens as currency. These aren’t living things, and in the first three games they didn’t talk to you since they were basically just robots. But, they spoke to the bite victim in the fourth game and shared their worry. The boy has escaped the nightmare after he survived the night in the previous game, but instead of waking up, his injuries have kept him in a slumber.
Then, when you look at the enemies, you see things a kid would dream up. More animatronics, flying toy cars, tinkertoys, logs, and even little plants. The attacks are foods from the restaurant, balloons, and flashing lights. And one of the primary areas is a carnival. When you look at the statements the pixelated Fredbear makes and the surroundings, it all clicks.
The fantastical worlds complete with bright, colorful landscapes, and dark, terrifying tunnels are all in the mind of this poor child.
