Skeleton Keys
You will come across many cell doors during your time in Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen. Most are locked, but you may want to access what is on the other side. This is usually the case when you find yourself in a cell after committing a crime and would like nothing more than to go back to your adventuring ways. The problem is you can’t open these doors without a Skeleton Key, and Dragon’s Dogma doesn’t just throw these things at you willy nilly.
There are a few places you can find them though, provided you have the time to look or the money to buy. Montebank (located in The Black Cat in Gran Soren) sells the keys for just over 4000 Gold a pop. Or you can find one in the Duke’s Castle Dungeon (check behind the boxes near the guard), or in a chest located in Gran Soren. The chest is on the staircase that separates the Noble Quarter and the Craftman’s Quater.
You can also craft Skeleton Keys if you have the materials. There are four different recipes, although each requires a Shackle (can be found by killing Bandits and Giant Undead). The four recipes are:
- Shackle + Hammer
- Shackle + Hunk of Ore
- Shackle + Scrap of Iron
- Shackle + Unremarkable Ore
It’s always a good idea to keep at least a few SkeletonKeys on you. Doors that can be unlocked using these keys in Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen can be found in the Gran Soren dungeon, Smugglers’ Pass, and Bitterblack Isle. Now get out there, and let no gate block your way.
