How to Play the Hillbilly Killer in Dead by Daylight
Since the Hillbilly in Dead by Daylight is all about the chase, the killer’s perks serve to strengthen their fortitude and overall tankiness. The Enduring perk will greatly increase the Hillbilly’s stun recovery time which makes getting struck by a barricade much less of a problem. The Hillbilly can also reduce the effectiveness of flashlights with the Lightborn perk which increases resistance to and recovery time of the blind effect, however as a cost your field of vision will be reduced. Combine these with the Unrelenting, Deerstalker, and Whispers perks and you’ll be a glorified unstoppable killing machine.
The Hillbilly has a very interesting array of add-ons for the Chainsaw which serve to cause detrimental effects to any survivor hit by it. Grisly Chains and Rusted Chains will reduce a survivor’s repair speed and decrease their recovery time respectively, while the Begrimed Chains will institute both effects with a single add-on. The Spiked Boots is another good addition as it allows the Hillbilly a greater degree of steering control while charging with the Chainsaw. Finally, the Primer Bulb reduces the charge time for the Chainsaw, allowing the Hillbilly to enter the fray at a much quicker rate.
