Rogue One’s Newest Trailer Focuses on K-2SO and AT-AT Battle

With only a few weeks left until the next Star Wars movie releases around the world, Disney has dropped another trailer for their future film. Titled “Trust,” this video showcases the lighter and wittier side of Rogue One, with many of laughs coming from the droid K-2SO. During the trailer, we get a few glimpses at K-2SO’s mentality which feels like a far more cynical version of C-3PO. It’s amusing and helps showcase his personality much better than any other promotion material released so far.

We also get a better look at the AT-AT fight that has been teased, though it does end up spoiling what could have been a rather funny moment for moviegoers. However, we still haven’t received any new footage for Darth Vader who has remained largely in the shadows for most of Rogue One’s promotional material. It will be interesting to see if he has a larger role in the film itself or if his appearance is only for the sake of continuity.

The same can be said for the film’s main antagonist Krennic who hasn’t really received any focus despite being one of the most interesting additions. It’s felt like director Gareth Edwards has relegated his villains to the background for now, which could mean they either have a smaller role or he wants to keep as much of the story a mystery as possible. Either way, we cannot wait December 16 to arrive and to return to this famed universe once again.
