Blanchett will play the “mysterious and powerful” villain Hela, and Goldblum is set as the “eccentric” Grandmaster. Tess Thompson of Creed will play “classic hero” Valkyrie, and Karl Urban of The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King joins as Skurge.

Finally, Marvel’s The Avengers actor Mark Ruffalo will appear as Bruce Banner/the Hulk in Thor: Ragnorok.

“The sheer, raw talent each of these actors brings to the screen can’t be quantified,” producer Kevin Feige said. “Having any one of them join the Marvel Cinematic Universe would be an honor, and having all of them is incredible.”

The cast is absolutely stacked even before you consider the returning actors—Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Idris Elba as Asgardian sentry Heimdall, and Sir Anthony Hopkins as the Ruler of Asgard, Odin.

Thor: Ragnarok is helmed by What We Do in the Shadows director Taika Waititi, with Feige producing.
