Amazon’s The Wheel of Time Gets New Trailer Setting Up the Story & Characters

Robert Jordan’s widely beloved fantasy series, The Wheel of Time, is getting a TV series adaptation on Amazon’s Prime Video service and it’s looking pretty promising so far. We got a teaser trailer a while back, but a new official trailer has just dropped, giving us a better idea of the plot and the characters we’ll be following throughout the story.

You can check out the new trailer down below:

Essentially, the world is in trouble, as it always is. The malevolent force known as the Dark One threatens to consume the world and Moiraine Demodred (played by Rosamund Pike, who starred in Gone Girl) is part of a group of channelers who goes on a journey to find powerful magic-users who may be powerful enough to save the world.

We get a quick look at the five people she finds, as well as a glimpse of the challenges they’ll be facing along the way.

The Wheel of Time is set to start streaming on Prime Video on Nov. 19.
