These won’t be in any particular order, as there are factors such as character and progression details to keep you from several of these, but all are available once you have access to every district of Balduq.

Waterway Vault Hidden Area

Ys IX Hidden Area Waterway Vault

Right in the middle of the Main Gates area is that waterway you might have jumped into occasionally to fight the Lemures from the black pillars. At the northern end will be this grate. You will need to be able to use Renegade’s gift of Shadow Dive to get under this grate and into the Waterway Vault.

Concealed Stockroom

Ys IX Concealed Stockroom Hidden Area

The Concealed Stockroom hidden area is located near the very end of the Shantytown area. Climb the wall by the Nirvana shop or use the Crimson Line and head over to the eastern wall. You will need the use of Doll’s Third Eye gift to be able to use the button located to the left of the graffiti.

Secret Medicine Stash

In the central district, you will want to head east from Andelph’s Armory. Jump the fence to land in the alleyway, the entrance to the Secret Medicine Stash hidden area will be behind you. This is only available if you have Doll’s Ability as you will need to use her Third Eye gift to be able to push that oddly colored brick on the right wall to open the door.

Blocked Path Hidden Area

At the southeastern end of the Main Square, you will be at a crumbly wall hiding this hidden area. You will need to break this down with Raging Bull’s Valkyrie Hammer gift to be able to get inside.

Waterfall Storeroom

In the northern tip of the main square, past the big stone gazebo will be this waterfall. Your goal is to get behind that waterfall. You can double jump from the ledge Adol is on and make it pretty easily. Either that or use Hawk’s gift of Hunter’s Descent to glide your way into the hidden area.

Forgotten Armory

Directly northeast from the front door of Rjindael Antiques is this little drainage area with three grates. Just as with the Waterway Vault hidden area, you will need to use Renegade’s Shadow Dive gift to enter the middle of the three grates and access the Forgotten Armory hidden area.

Vacant Ritual Room Hidden Area

At the south end of the Cultural Heritage Site past the tall statue will be this almost octagonal building. If you look the entryway, you’ll see the gate is slightly raised up. Use Renegade’s Shadow gift to get under the gate and into the Vacant Ritual Room hidden area.

There you have it, every hidden area location in Ys IX Monstrum Nox.
