Is Yakuza Kiwami 2 Coming to PC?
The Yakuza series has seen increasing popularity in recent years, especially in North America. Yakuza 6: The Song of Life recently hit PS4 in April, and now Yakuza Kiwami 2 is on the way for release in August. With a new release, many fans might be wondering if they could see the latest entry in the Japanese crime series hit PC. Unfortunately, we’ll have to be the bearers of bad news this time around.
There are currently no plans for Yakuza Kiwami 2 on PC, and at least for the near future it looks like there won’t be. Sadly, none of the games in the Yakuza series have ever made their way to PC, and they’ve been pretty exclusive to Sony systems. There may be some hope for the future, however, as Sega’s Sega’s Senior VP of Commercial Publishing, John Clark, said there is interest in bringing some of the company’s more niche titles over to PC. In regards to Yakuza Clark had this to say, “It’s on that list. Of course something we’re talking about it… that would just be incredible to bring that to the PC audience.”
Hopefully this means that someday PC players will be able to roam around the streets of Kamurocho as well. Until then, you’ll need to stick to PlayStation to get your Yakuza fill with the PS4.
Make sure to stick with Twinfinite for more information on Yakuza and gaming in general.
