Where ‘The Coroner’ Is Filmed
The Coroner is a drama series that follows a coroner named Jane Kennedy as she returns to Lighthaven. There, she works with Detective Sergeant Davey Higgins, who was once her childhood sweetheart until he broke her heart. Their investigations together suddenly take a dark and twisted turn as they try to uncover the unexplained deaths in the South Hams district of South Devon.
The daytime drama first aired back in November 2015 and ran until December of the following year. There are a total of 20 episodes, each running for around 45 minutes each.
One question fans might have is where BBC actually filmed the series. Most of the daytime drama was actually filmed on location across South Devon, using many of the South Devon towns as a backdrop. Some of the more notable locations include Totnes, Dartmouth, Hope Cover, and Brixham. That said, most of these locations feature fantastic beaches, luscious greenery, and a beautiful sunset.
While the The Coroner has gotten two seasons, BBC had announced last year that it would not be continuing the series. Fans can still follow the show through websites like BBC or streaming services, such as Netflix.
