Since it first began airing in 2019, Beastars has remained an intriguing hit among anime fans. Weaving a tale of embracing one’s true self and fighting back against those who take the maxim too far, it’s a wild ride of emotion, action, and gorgeous 3D animation. At this time, we have a window for when Beastars Final Season is set to air. However, it’s still a pretty broad one. In a post made to the official Beastar website made on Sept. 7, 2022, it was revealed that the Final season had started its production. A release window of 2024 was provided, though no firm month or date was included as of the announcement’s posting.
Though this is a little disappointing, it’s far from surprising. The announcement only confirms that the Final season has entered production; it doesn’t state that the season has been in production or that any work has gone into the project at all. As such, it’s likely only just starting to go through the necessary processes before it can be created and polished up. If anything, it’s impressive that they’d be able to complete the final season in only two years’ time.
As such, it’ll be a while before we get any other firm details regarding the series’ final cour. There’s a lot of work that still needs to be done on the series, and the team behind it will be putting all of their time and effort toward those pursuits. At the earliest, we’ll get more news on the series’ progress and a firmer release window sometime in 2023.
What Will the Last Season of Beastars be About?
As for what you can expect from Beastars Final Season, it’s going to be a doozie of a last hurrah. Picking up where the last arc left off, it’ll mainly center around Legoshi grappling with the consequences of his actions and finding his way further through life.
There will be big character moments galore and plenty of action to go along with it. And that goes for more than just Legoshi, too – his friends and the other major players in the series will have just as many chances for character development. We’ll leave it at that to avoid any spoilers, but rest assured: You’re not going to want to miss this final dive into Beastars’ world.
