Is WarioWare Gold Coming to 3DS?

Recommended Videos

WarioWare Gold is the latest entry in the irreverent, frenetic WarioWare series, wherein players participate in a bevy of surreal mini-games – each of which only takes a few seconds to complete, and can be as simple as shaking a dog’s hand or picking a nose.

It is due to arrive in early August, and will be a Nintendo 3DS exclusive. This makes it the first portable WarioWare game in almost a decade, following WarioWare: DIY on the Nintendo DS in 2009. At this point, no port for the Switch has been announced, nor an equivalent for that platform. However, it is not out of the realm of possibility that something may formulate down the track.

WarioWare Gold will feature fully voice acted cut scenes and 300 microgames, the largest total in the series’ history, with new additions like blowing on a dandelion, catching a pizza in your mouth, and plucking out nose hairs. It may sound strange, but if you’re familiar with the franchise, you’ll know that it’s par for the course.
