When it comes to a survival game like V Rising, knowing what your resources are good for will be of great help whether you’re fresh out of the coffin or an old vampire who’s been stalking the nights for centuries. As there are likely dozens of different resources that can be collected, there will also be advanced iterations of them that will be extremely valuable. One of those in V Rising is leather, and if you have been wondering about how to get leather and what it’s used for, this guide will give you the advantage you need.
How to Get Leather in V Rising
The key to leather is the Tannery station that can be built at your base, hides from animals like wolves, bears, and other animals can be turned into leather using the station. But before you get access to that, you will need to do some boss hunting.
- Build the Blood Altar at your base.
This is part of the mandatory quests at the beginning of the game.
- Find Keely the Frost Archer.
Interact with the altar, and track Keely from the menu.
- Follow the blood trail.
Keely is located at the Bandit Trapper Camp, which is in the northeastern part of the Farbane Woods.
- Defeat Keely the Frost Archer.
Beware of the boss, as it is at level 20. Once she is defeated, you will obtain the capability of building the Tannery.
What is Leather Used For in V Rising
A Tannery is found under the Refinement tab of the Build menu, and will require 8 Planks and 160 Animal Hides to build. Once that is done, interact with it, and you can start crafting leather. Each piece of leather will require 16 Animal Hide. With leather in your possession, you will be able to craft more powerful gear and base items in V Rising.
That is all the key information on how to get leather and what it’s used for in V Rising. For everything else, be sure to search Twinfinite for other tips and information on the game.
