How to Get All Trophies and the Platinum in Until Dawn

Recommended Videos

Until Dawn may not have a ton of trophies, but that doesn’t mean that it’s necessarily an easy platinum trophy to get. With a number of branching decisions that directly affect the outcome of the game, one wrong move can jeopardize your chances of getting a bunch of these trophies. Not to mention you’ll need to play the game at least twice if you want that all-important platinum.

As such, we’ve put together a comprehensive trophy guide to help you grab each and every trophy on offer in Until Dawn. It’s worth noting that a lot of the trophies are based on story spoilers in the game, so we’ve put them on a separate page to give you a chance to turn back now and enjoy the game as it was intended to be experienced. If you’re just after those sweet, sweet trophies, however, go forth.

Until Dawn Trophy Guide

Final spoiler warning! Don’t read any further if you want to avoid spoilers for Until Dawn’s story.

Until Dawn has 19 trophies for players to unlock as they make their way through the game. Some are based around keeping characters alive, others require you to send some of them to an untimely end. Others aren’t quite as heavy and just require you to find a bunch of collectibles. Check out the list, as well as our explanation for each one below.

A Symphony of Horror Trophies (Platinum) – You collected all Gold, Silver, and Bronze trophies in Until Dawn. Self-explanatory, just grab the other 18 trophies listed below.

Fatal Grudge (Bronze) – Chris chose to shoot Ashley. For this one, Ashley will die, so you won’t be able to get the They All Live trophy in the same playthrough. At the end of episode six, you’ll have the choice to make Chris shoot Ashley or do nothing. Simply choose to shoot Ashley.

The Exorcism of Emily (Bronze) – Mike shot Emily. Before the option to shoot Emily becomes available to you in episode eight, you’ll need to make sure that Emily doesn’t keep hold of the flare gun in episode six. You can either make sure she doesn’t pick it up at all, or passes it to Matt if the two are together at this point. Skip forward to episode eight and you’ll be in control of Emily as she’s escaping a Wendigo and she’ll get bitten. Skip forward a little and the group will notice the bite. Choose to shoot Emily and you’ll unlock this trophy. Be warned, though, that you won’t be able to get the Let eM In trophy in the same playthrough.

Ashley Snaps (Silver) – Ashley snapped and let Chris die. For this one, you have to make Chris shoot Ashley for the Fatal Grudge trophy above. This trophy is then awarded after Ashley gets her revenge in episode eight. Simply watch as Chris dies and this trophy will pop.

You Let the Wrong One In! (Bronze) – Ashley or Chris opened the trap door and let the monster in. Again, going for this trophy will prevent you from getting the They All Live trophy. In episode nine, when you hear the noise down in the sewers, go and investigate the noise rather than rejoining the group. You’ll then be able to open the door, and bring whoever opened it to an untimely end.

Let eM In (Bronze) – Mike allowed Emily to stay in the basement. For this one, you’ll first need to make sure that Emily doesn’t keep hold of the flare gun in episode six. Make sure she either doesn’t pick it up, or that she gives it to Matt if the two are still together. You’ll then need to make sure Emily gets bitten by the Wendigo in episode eight. After this, when you’re controlling Mike, do not choose to shoot Emily. If you’re struggling to make this happen, simply let the timer run out.

Instant Inferno (Silver) – Sam immediately flicked the switch to set the lodge ablaze. If you’re going for either This Is THE End or They All Live, you won’t want to do go for this trophy in the same playthrough. At the very end of the game, you’ll need to ensure Sam doesn’t move and alert the Wendigo in the lodge before Mike has chance to break the light bulb. If you’re successful, you can then choose for Sam to either save Mike or run to the switch. Bid your farewells to Mike and choose the switch to get the Instant Inferno trophy.

The Tale of the Two Sisters (Gold) – The group found all the clues from the Twins Clueline. Check out our full list of Twins Clues locations and grab them all in your playthrough to unlock this gold trophy.

The Fateful Descent (Gold) – The group found all the clues from the 1952 Clueline. As you explore Until Dawn’s world, you’ll be able to find a number of clues at flashing points throughout an episode that may change the plot, as well as provide you with a bit of backstory to the world. Check out our guide of all of the 1952 clue locations, find them all in a playthrough, and unlock this trophy.

You Opened Their Eyes (Gold) – The group found all the clues from the Mystery Man Clueline. Just like with the previous two trophies, we’ve got a handy guide to ensure you don’t miss a single part of the Mystery Man Clueline. Check it out here.

Four Daughters Of Darkness (Gold) – All of the girls survived until dawn. Check the They All Live trophy below. You can unlock this at the same time.

They All Live (Gold) – All eight friends survived until dawn. Check out our comprehensive guide on how to save everyone and get the best ending here.

This Is THE End (Gold) – Nobody survived until dawn. We’ve got a guide on how to be a total murderer to ensure nobody survives and you get the worst ending. You can check it out here.

Don’t Scare Jessica To Death (Silver) – Jessica survived her night of terror. When Jessica gets taken in episode four of Until Dawn, you’ll need to select the fastest route after her. These are the obviously riskier paths, so just make sure you nail the QTEs and you’ll be all good. You’ll then want to make sure that in episode 10, you hide from the Wendigo whenever you have a chance. If you don’t, she’ll die.

The Skilful Wolf Man (Gold) – Mike kept the wolf alive throughout the Sanatorium. When Mike first meets the world in episode five, don’t kick it. Let the QTE timer run out and carry on with your adventure. Later, when you return to the Sanatorium as Mike, his trusty wolf friend will reappear. Simply complete all of the QTEs perfectly during this section. If you fail any of them, the wolf will try to save Mike, but will kill itself in the process. Once you’ve barricaded the door and the episode comes to a close, this trophy should pop.

Scream Too! (Silver) – Mike cut off his fingers to free himself from the bear trap. When Mike gets his fingers caught in the bear trap in the basement of the Sanatorium, opt to use the nearby machete to cut off his fingers, rather than trying to pry the trap open. This trophy will the pop at the end of the episode.

The Psycho Path (Silver) – Sam or Ashley attacked the psycho with a weapon. You can get this trophy either as Sam in episode five, or as Ashley in episode six. In episode five, simply choose to throw the vase at the psycho before running or hit him with the baseball bat. It’s worth noting that the baseball bat will only be available if you didn’t have anyone mess with it earlier in the game.

In episode six, you’ll need to make sure that Ashley picks up the scissors right after the whole doll house section. If you did, then when Ashley comes face to face with the psycho, she can stab him, before escaping.

The Quicker Man (Gold) – All the boys escaped death. Check out the They All Live trophy above. You can unlock this gold Until Dawn trophy at the same time.

Night of the Totem Hunter (Gold) – The group found all the totems on the mountain. As with all of the other collectibles in Until Dawn, we’ve got a handy guide to help you out with this trophy.

And that’s all you need to know to get all trophies including the Platinum trophy in Until Dawn. For more tips, tricks, and information on the game, be sure to check back with Twinfinite.
