How to Unmute Someone on Xbox One
We’ve all experienced those moments when someone in your game just won’t turn their loud, bass-heavy music off and you just need some silence to get your head in the zone. Or maybe you just want to annoy the hell out of your friend and mute them on Xbox One, just because you can. The problem is that once you’ve muted them, chances are you’ll want to unmute them at some point in the future (especially in the latter case). Here’s what you need to do to unmute someone on Xbox One.
First off, you’ll want to go to your profile. You can do this by pressing the Xbox button on your controller, tab left over to your account that’s signed in, press A, and use the View Profile option.
Next, you need to use RB to skip over to the Social tab, and then select ‘Following’ on the left. From here, you’re then going to use the little drop-down menu so that it shows only the people you currently have muted on your Xbox One. From here, simply select the person you want, press A to head to their profile, and then select the Unmute option towards the bottom.
Of course, you can make the unmuting process on Xbox One a lot quicker if you already know the person’s profile you want to unmute. Simply open up your friends list, find them, press A to view their little side profile that appears, and select Unmute from here. Either method will produce the same result.
That’s all you need to know to unmute someone on Xbox One. For more on the system, be sure to search for Twinfinite.
