Experiment With Preset Loadouts

When you first get started in the Uncharted 4 multiplayer portion, you’ll find that your gear options are very limited. You’ll get to choose from a few preset loadout options, catering to different play styles. Our advice is to pick the loadouts with guns and gear that you know you’ll like, because the more you use them, the quicker you’ll be able to unlock them for your own custom loadouts.

This also gives you the opportunity for experimenting with different play styles. The Covert loadout gives you access to the Stealth perk, which makes it harder for enemies to detect you, while the Tactical loadout allows you to deploy a Hunter sidekick, whose job is to choke out your enemies and make them vulnerable to your team’s attacks. The preset loadouts may be limited, but trying all of them is important for knowing which perks and weapons you’ll want to use for your own build later on.

Complete Challenges for Relic Points

Relic Points are the main currency you’ll use in Uncharted 4’s multiplayer. These allow you to purchase Vanity Chests, which give you customization options for your various characters and weapons. Not only that, you’ll also be able to buy One-Use Booster Chests, which include cheaper sidekicks and mysticals to be used in battle.

You can check your available Challenges on the multiplayer’s main menu, and see what tasks you need to complete to earn more Relic Points. The Challenges will refresh daily, so if you knock them out everyday, you’ll be swimming in enough Relic Points to get you all the Vanity Chests you could ever hope to own. Winning matches will also net you 10 Relic Points each.

Spend All Your Money

Whenever you’re in a match, you’ll earn money for performing certain actions. These include downing or KO’ing an enemy, reviving an ally, or even picking up treasure. As soon as you rack up enough money, hit the touchpad to view the items available for purchase. Money doesn’t seem to have any value outside of multiplayer matches, so be sure to spend them to give your team an edge.

You can buy mysticals, or even employ sidekicks to fight by your side. Depending on which loadout you’re using, you’ll also be able to purchase powerful weapons to decimate the enemy team. You’ll be able to choose the types of boosters you want available in the store when you create your own custom loadout.

Sidekicks are Valuable

Speaking of sidekicks, I highly advise purchasing them from the store as soon as you have the money for it. There are various types of sidekicks that can aid you in battle. The Brute will provide suppressing fire, the Savior will revive your allies and distribute ammo, the Sniper will pick off foes one by one while defending a location, and the Hunter will track enemies and grab them with a choke hold.

The Sniper and Hunter can only be used if you’re using specific preset loadouts, but you’ll find that sidekicks are particularly useful in distracting your enemies and assisting you in getting kills. They’re the most expensive assets in the store, but they’re well worth their asking price.

Create Your Own Custom Loadout

Once you’ve experimented with the preset loadouts in Uncharted 4, and you’ve unlocked the weapons and perks that you think you’ll need, it’s time to create your own custom loadout. Be sure to spend all your LP when creating the loadout as you’ll want as many available options as possible when you’re in battle, and there’s little sense in leaving your LP unspent.

I advise allocating the bulk of your LP into perks, as these are the ones that will help you out the most in battle. The Marking perk, for instance, will mark enemies on your screen as soon as you aim at them. This will notify your allies of their positions. Pairing this with the Stealth perk is also a good idea, as you’ll be able to hide from your foes with ease while pinpointing their locations.
