Tone
Tone is equipped with the 40mm Tracker Cannon from the original Titanfall. It’s a semi-automatic rifle that packs an additional punch with explosive rounds. If you’re looking to stay mid-range and deal out the damage, Tone is one of the best Titan classes for you.
This Titan class has the following abilities.
Ordnance: Tracker Rockets – Fires missiles at fully-locked enemies. (Full lock-on required to use)
Tactical: Sonar – Reveals enemies in an area and establishes partial lock.
Defensive: Particle Wall – Places a defensive barrier in front of Tone that it can shoot through.
Core: Salvo Core – Unleashes a barrage of rockets that can be guided in flight. They’ll prioritize any locked target Tone looks at.
Legion
Wielding a huge minigun in the form of the Predator Cannon, the Legion is one of the best Titan classes for both short and long-range fighting in Titanfall 2. Thanks to the long-range mode on the Predator cannon, you can pick enemies off from a distance, before switching back to spray your enemies with bullets.
This Titan class has the following abilities.
Ordnance: Power Shot – Close Range: Knocks back nearby enemies. Long Range: Damages all enemies in its path.
Tactical: Mode Switch – Switch between close range and long range precision rounds.
Defensive: Gun Shield – Deploys a protective shield from the Predator Cannon.
Core: Smart Core – The Predator Cannon automatically locks onto anything in range.
Northstar
The Northstar has one unique advantage over all of Titanfall 2’s other Titan classes in its VTOL Hover jetpack ability. Combined with its powerful railgun that can be charged and unloaded like a sniper, the Northstar is capable of huge damage from a distance.
This Titan class has the following abilities.
Ordnance: Cluster Missile – Creates sustained explosions on impact.
Tactical: VTOL Hover – Vertical take-off hover.
Defensive: Tether Trap – Mines that lockdown nearby enemy titans.
Core: Flight Core – Hover, unleashing rockets at targets below.
Ion
If you were a fan of the Atlas class from the original game, you’ll find a lot to like in the new Ion class in Titanfall 2. Equipped with a Splitter Rifle that unloads a powerful laser beam, and a Laser Shot as its ordnance attack to deal an even heavier blow, this is a general favorite among players in the game. The Ion class is also great for getting up close and personal with your enemies thanks to its range of abilities.
This Titan class has the following abilities.
Ordnance: Laser Shot – Shoulder-mounted, this lethal beam cuts through anything in its way.
Tactical: Tripwire – Laser triggered explosive mines.
Defensive: Vortex Shield – Absorb incoming fire and redirect it back at the enemy.
Core: Laser Core – A deadly oversized laser beam fired from the chest of the Ion and capable of stopping anything in its path.
Scorch
Another one of the heavy Titan classes in Titanfall 2, Scorch is all about bringing the heat to the battlefield. Equipped with a Thermite launcher, one direct hit on an enemy will see them set on fire, dealing hefty damage to the target. Definitely a good choice if you find yourself front and center of the action.
This Titan class has the following abilities.
Ordnance: Firewall – Fires a directed wall of thermite in the enemies direction.
Tactical: Incendiary Trap – Deploys flammable gas canisters which can be triggered by the slightest spark.
Defensive: Thermal Shield – Liquifies incoming artillery while dealing damage to nearby enemies.
Core: Flame Core – Creates a giant wave of fire that destroys anything in its path.
Ronin
The Titan class is best suited for those looking for a fast Titan that’s lethal in close quarters in Titanfall 2. Ronin comes equipped with a blade for its special attacks but will use a powerful shotgun called the Leadwall that fires a wide spread of rounds.
This Titan class has the following abilities.
Ordnance: Arc Wave – Swiping its sword across the ground, Ronin creates an electric wave that damages and slows enemies hit by it.
Tactical: Phase Dash – Ronin dashes in a given direction, temporarily phasing out of the world. Avoid incoming fire and catch your enemy by surprise.
Defensive: Sword Block – Reduces damage taken. Can be held indefinitely.
Core: Sword Core – Empowers its melee and sword abilities and gives access to new sword attacks.
