How to Improve Shooting in State of Decay 2
There are a number of different skills that your survivors can have in State of Decay 2, from cardio and wits, all the way through to shooting and geek trivia (yes, really). While simply having these skills won’t do a whole lot, you can improve them over time, making your survivors more hardened and prepared to take on the undead. Here’s what you need to know about improving the shooting skill in State of Decay 2 and how to do it.
The shooting skill, as you may have guessed in State of Decay 2, is all about shooting your targets with guns, rather than using the melee weapons in the game. This is basically all you need to know to improve the skill, though we do suggest going for the headshots purely from an efficiency point of view.
By improving this skill, your survivor’s firearm handling will improve, allowing you to more easily nail those headshots and generally just be that little bit quicker with their guns. Remember, though, that once you’ve maxed out the shooting skill, you can specialize by pressing down on the dpad and selecting the skill with the left stick and pressing A. Doing so will give you two options related to shooting that with their own unique abilities. Choose whichever suits your playstyle best and you can keep on grindin’ away in the same manner for that skill, too.
You can also improve this skill by setting up a Firing Range at your base. However, be warned that will take up a slot at your base, and it’s not necessarily the best use of the slot if you’re struggling to keep your resources in good stead.
That’s all you need to know to improve shooting in State of Decay 2. For more on the game, be sure to check out our ever-expanding wiki.
