How to Change Loan Character in Star Ocean Anamnesis

Star Ocean Anamnesis lets players bring along another person’s character with them during a fight. These fighters are called loan characters and act as temporary party members. As such, other players can also recruit your own character and use him or her as a party member during a fight. If you want to change your loan character in Star Ocean Anamnesis, here’s how you do it.

If you haven’t noticed already, everyone’s initial loan character is the cat hero, Andre. This probably means that nobody knows how to change their hero, and it’s actually fairly simple once you know how to do it. All you need to do is tap the Characters option at the bottom of your screen and then hit Edit Party. Once you’re there, choose which party member you want as your loan character and hold your finger over their icon.

A new window should pop up that shows you their basic stats, talents and battles skills, and their main portrait on the right side of the screen. Just below it, you’ll find an option that says “On Loan” that changes your party member into your loan character. Contrary to popular belief, changing your loan character isn’t selecting your favorite hero on the home screen. Selecting a favorite character simply makes them your home screen’s display and doesn’t affect combat.

Using a powerful loan character is a great way to get new followers in Star Ocean Anamnesis. Most players will usually want a strong ally that could call on in battle, hence why you should choose your best party member to rep your team. Similarly, you should also focus on following users who have a high-leveled character on their team as well.
