Master Orders: You Got One Shot
Super Smash’s Master Orders are somewhat gentler than their crazy counterparts, but never forget that you only get one chance. If you select an order, be ready. Have your best character on hand. Because if you don’t, and you fail, the order will disappear along with its prize.
Master Orders: Until Attempted, Events Remain
On that note, take your time planning how you’ll attack a certain event. Until an event is attempted, it won’t disappear. Pick your character wisely. Don’t rush into an event that has a prize you desperately want. Super Smash Bros is not a stern taskmaster; that event will be there when you’re ready.
Crazy Orders: Don’t Die!
Not to reiterate what the game itself tells you. Seriously, though, don’t die. Caution should be at the forefront of your battle strategy. Even your character seletion should be geared towards survival. A character who can handle large amounts of damage and/or return to the stage easily should be a top choice. Stick to your comfort zone. Remember that a single death means a huge hit to your prizes.
Crazy Orders: Choose Your Character Wisely
Unlike Master Orders, once you’ve spent your gold or pass you’re in it for the long run. No backing out and swapping out a character. So whichever character you pick, make it a good one. Your favorite, perhaps. Because even though your damage gets healed a little every level, you’re still stuck with your mainstay. And there ain’t no quittin’ ’till the job gets done (Super Smash Bros literally won’t let you quit partway). So don’t select someone you don’t want to use by accident, as your ticket or gold is already spent.
Crazy Orders: Don’t Delay the Final Battle Too Long
Defeating rounds heals some damage. This implies that Crazy Orders could go on “forever.” Don’t get cocky and throw caution to the wind. There’s nothing more depressing in Super Smash Bros than playing for 10 rounds only to get knocked out before you get a chance to face the Crazy Hand.
