How to Save in Slay the Spire

Recommended Videos

Slay the Spire is a roguelike video game developed by Megacrit. Players will start the game by picking one of the predetermined characters and make their way across various levels. You’ll encounter various monsters on your journey, which you’ll combat with an arsenal of cards at your disposal.

Slay the Spire is a challenging game, and one questions fans might have is how to save their progress. After all, it would be a major bummer if you suddenly lost all of your progress midway through an awesome run. Luckily, you won’t have to keep reminding yourself to do so since the game autosaves at the beginning of every encounter. If you put the game down, you’ll start right at the beginning of a match.

One thing to keep in mind, though, is that the card draw stays the same every match. That way, you won’t be able to exploit the save system for a better hand at the start of the battle. Needless to say, this system helps keeps the game fair and prevents players from always steamrolling through bosses early on in the fight with their best cards.
