As great as the current generation of consoles is, there are still times when things go a bit wrong. Be it your game constantly crashing, your game’s not loading, a finicky connection to the internet, or just your Xbox One dashboard not loading or updating properly. Regardless of what the issue is, they’re a pain, and if you’re out of warranty, things such as your disc drive no longer working can be a fairly expensive repair. Fortunately, if you’re just having the issue of your Xbox One dashboard seemingly not refreshing of its own accord, or your system just seems to hang on the dashboard for a while, fear not. We’ve got instructions below on what you need to do to refresh your Xbox One dashboard so you can get playing again in no time.

To refresh your Xbox One dashboard, all you need to do is press and hold down both LT and RT at the same time, and then press the Y button, too. You should then see your Xbox One dashboard do its refresh animation and hopefully, this should clear any issues you’re having.

If this fails to resolve your dashboard issue, it’s worth turning your Xbox One off, and then unplugging it from the wall. Keep it unplugged for about 30 seconds and then plug it back in and turn it on. This can completely clear your system’s cache, so if it’s causing any performance issues on your Xbox One dashboard, this should alleviate the issue. If the problem persists, you’ll probably need to get in contact with Xbox Support for further troubleshooting.

That’s all you need to know to refresh your Xbox One dashboard and hopefully fix any issues you might be having with your system. For more tips, tricks, and guides on everything video games, be sure to search for Twinfinite.
