PUBG Map Selection: How to Choose Map

Recommended Videos

PUBG currently has three maps, with one in testing servers. And while each one has its own pros and cons, it’s natural to gravitate to one over another. Many players have been very vocal about wanting a Map selection feature in PUBG, given that many do not like to play on the game’s large desert map Miramar. Luckily, PUBG Corp has just announced that a map selection feature will be making its way to the game.

They shared a shot of the new map selection feature in action which you can view below:

The map selection feature is set to be added to test servers very soon, before it will eventually come to the main game. It seems that in order to choose which map you want to play on, you’ll have to click on the map option menu before starting a game. Then, click on which map you would like to play, you can leave it set to all if you’d prefer. Make sure the map you want has the white check mark in its top-right corner filled in, then you’re ready to go.

There are no exact details as to when the map selector will come to all player servers, but when it does you’ll be able to choose between Erangel, Miramar and Savage. This all only applies to the PC version of the game, with no details for a map selector on Xbox One announced. Be sure to stay tuned for more details on when it will. PUBG continues to see new features being added each month, with the new map and selector due to arrive very soon. Recently, the level 3 helmet was moved to care packages only, with PUBG Corp citing balancing issues.
