Level Up in Pokemon Quest
The newly released Pokemon Quest might be a free-to-play game, but it still contains a few RPG elements, which means that you’ll need to level your team up if you want to take on the tough challenges that lie ahead. Here’s what you need to know about the leveling process in the game.
First off, every Pokemon has an experience bar. For every expedition that you complete, your Pokemon will gain a bit of experience. Once that bar fills up, they’ll gain a level. As you clear out more areas of the map, you can unlock decorations in your base camp to speed up the leveling process for Pokemon under a certain level. This should make your grinding efforts a little more efficient. However, gaining levels isn’t the best way to strengthen your Pokemon. You’ll also need to keep an eye on their health and attack stats.
These can be boosted with Power Stones, which are dropped randomly at the end of each expedition. There are two common types of Power Stones: Mighty and Sturdy. The former will increase your attack stat, while the latter increases your health. As your Pokemon levels up, they’ll unlock more Power sockets, which means you can use more Power Stones on them to make them even stronger. Simply tap on your Pokemon’s icon, then drag the Power Stones to the appropriate sockets. Mighty Stones can only be inserted in sockets with a fist symbol, while Sturdy Stones go to sockets with the heart symbol.
