Catching and Getting More Pokemon in Pokemon Quest

Recommended Videos

Like past games in the series, Pokemon Quest centers around obtaining more pocket monsters so that you can round out your team and give yourself a bit of versatility in combat. However, obtaining more Pokemon in Pokemon Quest isn’t done through the usual method. There are no Pokeballs in the game, which means you can’t simply catch the wild Pokemon you see while going on expeditions. Instead, you’ll need to rely on cooking.

At the start of the game, you’ll get to choose your starter Pokemon. After that, it’s up to you to get more via cooking. This can be done by going to your base camp, and then cooking a meal by tapping on the cooking pot and selecting five ingredients for the process. Once you’ve done this, go on a few expeditions until the cooking process is done, or just spend some PM Tickets to finish it up instantly. Depending on the kind of meal you’ve cooked, different types of Pokemon will be attracted to your camp, and you can instantly add them to your team once you’ve befriended them. Because of this, it’s highly recommended that you have your cooking pot active at all times.
