Best Nature for Nidoking in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee

Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee are out the door, and we loved it! Even though it’s streamlined in a lot of ways, there is still room for competition and strategy. If you’re here, you’re likely wondering about the best nature for Nidoking. Let’s talk about it.

Nidoking is an extremely powerful Poison/Ground type Pokemon that is known for its strong offensive capabilities, especially its Attack stat. Although, its Special Attack stat is decent too if you want to go for a mixed/special approach to your moveset.

You have a couple of options when it comes to the best nature for Nidoking, and it comes down to what type of attacks you’re going to use.

If you’re going to go for a pure Attack moveset, your best choice is Adamant. Or, if you’re worried about getting beaten by possible counters, go with Jolly.

Adamant boosts Attack and lowers Special Attack (something you won’t need if you’re using only physical attacks). Jolly boosts speed and lowers special attack.

Now, if you’re going for a Special Attack moveset, you should go for either a Modest (+Special Attack, -Attack), or Timid (+Speed, -Attack) for the same reasons we have listed above.

Nidoking can also run a mixed attacker set. In this case, you don’t want to lower either Attack, Special Attack, or Speed. So instead, you’ll need to sacrifice a defensive stat. It doesn’t really matter which you pick, since his defensive stats are just about equal.

However, consider what kind of attacks your team are most vulnerable too, and factor that into your choice. We’d opt for going for a speed build in this scenario. Naive is a good choice, which raises Speed, but lowers Special Defense.

If you’re really nervous, you could also opt for one of the neutral natures when doing a mixed attacker build, such as Docile, but normally it’s better to pick something that boosts a stat.

That does it for what the best nature is for Nidoking in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee. Be sure to check out our Pokemon Let’s Go wiki guide for more tips & tricks.
